The folks in Benguet really take their Strawberry Festival seriously. To commemorate the special event, they decided to bake a replica of the giant strawberry cake which bagged them a place in The Guinness World Record back in 2004. It took them three days to finish the pastry using over Php60,000 for the ingredients. The slicing started early at 11am last March 23 with the first 50 slices served for free. The rest of the cake was sold at only Php20 per slice. It must have been every cake lover’s dream!
