On January 12, 2020, Taal Volcano in Batangas erupted, spewing volcanic ash as far as Metro Manila. In a couple of days, roughly 70,000 families have been displaced and moved to evacuation centers.

Natural disasters tend to bring out the best in Filipinos, including businesses outside the affected area. In comes The Standard Group, a restaurant collective responsible for bringing Yabu: House of Katsu, Elephant Grounds, and world famous Ippudo ramen bar to Manila.

On January 28, 2020 (Tuesday), all The Standard Group restaurants are donating their day’s proceeds – yes, 100% of their profits – to Taal victims. We couldn’t think of a better reason to eat out with friends and family.

“The more you eat, the more we can give,” The Standard Group’s statement read.

It continues: “Medical aid, food, water, shelter, and other relief goods are still needed to support these communities, and to help sustain relief efforts, The Standard Group will donate 100% of their profit across all brands and all stores on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.”

Below is the list of participating stores where you can dine and help out:
