When the attack of the sweet tooth strikes, it’s hard to say no. Give in to this French Toast recipe amped up to new heights. You won’t regret it, we promise.

- 2 pieces thick-cut toast
- 50 grams whipped cream
- 10 grams butter
- 6 pieces canned peach slices
- 10 grams, confectioner’s sugar
FOR THE PEACH TOAST
- 1 large egg
- 70 grams milk
- 30 grams white sugar
- 1 gram cinnamon
- 1/2 gram nutmeg
- 3 grams vanilla extract
FOR THE JASMINE TEA SYRUP
- 10 grams jasmine tea
- 200 grams water
- 100 grams white sugar
1.) Mix all the ingredients for the French toast together until the sugar has dissolved.
2.) For the jasmine tea syrup, steep jasmine tea in hot water for an hour and strain. Transfer the tea to a sauce pan, add the sugar, and boil until dissolved.
3.) Soak the thick-cut toast in the mixture until the toast is saturated. Simultaneously, whip the whipped cream using a whisk or a mixer, if available.
4.) Melt a portion of the butter in a saute pan, then caramelize both sides of each peach slice. Set aside.
5.) Using the same pan, cook the French toast and have both sides of the toast browned on medium low heat. Test with the tip of a skewer. The French toast is ready when the center of the bread is hot.
6.) Top with the caramelized peaches and a generous dollop of whipped cream. Dust with the confectioner’s sugar and serve with the jasmine syrup on the side.
Chef’s note: For best results, soak the thick-cut toast in the French toast mix overnight in the fridge.
