1. Borough finds a new home in BGC

Borough finds a new home in BGC

From the old Borough in Podium, the diner—known for its interpretations of comfort food and headed by Chef Cuit Kafman—has now set up shop in Bonifacio High Street Central in BGC. About the move-in, Miguel Santos, one of the partners for Borough tells us, “Aside from the fact that our area in Podium is being renovated, we’ve decided to put up the new one here because we see that given the different offices and residential buildings, our brand of comfort food would fit in perfectly.” Their menu boasts of plenty of their renowned classics as well as some new items to watch out for. Another noticeable addition? Their assortment of freshly baked layer cakes, cheesecakes, and pies all made in-house! They’ve also got an ongoing soft opening promo of 10 percent off on food items. So really, what are you waiting for?

Borough is located at C2, Bonifacio High Street Central, 7th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig

Open everyday from 5p.m. to 11p.m.

2. Poison Donuts’ got three new additions you’re bound to love

Poison Donuts’ got three new additions you’re bound to love

Poison sure is pulling out all the stops to give us dangerous donuts—not exactly great for the health, but hey, a sinful confection hidden in a sugar rush wouldn’t hurt from time to time right? Now, you can treat yourself all the more with some addicting additions to their carefully curated menu. Chef Miko Aspiras has experimented on three new unique flavors that would make your sweet tooth shiver in sheer bliss. You can choose from their beautifully glazed Pili and Cashew Butter donut or double it up on that saccharine goodness with their Muscavado sugar custard-filled donut filled and topped with caramelized coconut. And finally, to round out the trio is Chef Miko’s ode to his favorite Japanese convenience store donut, the Anko. His interpretation is a sourdough-brioche donut filled with red bean. Head on over while it lasts!

Poison Coffee and Doughnuts is located at The Alley, Karrivin Plaza, 2316 Chino Roces Extension, Makati City

Open Monday to Saturday from 10a.m. to 10p.m.

3. CBTL turns 15

CBTL turns 15

Who would have thought that it’s been 15 years since Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf opened its flagship store in the country in Greenbelt? Walden Chu, CEO of CBTL Philippines looks back with a grateful heart, “At the start, like most early stage companies, we didn’t know a lot. But through hard work, perseverance, learning from our experience, building teams and lots of prayer, by God’s grace we are where we are.” And this year, they’re more than excited to give back to the patrons who’ve supported them along the way. As a special treat, they’re bringing back their well-loved Mondays Made Better promo until June 30, where guests can enjoy their favorite drinks or try out new flavors for only Php100. Not to mention they’ve got exciting surprises that are under wraps.
