The Japanese fusion restaurant is currently being helmed by chef Bruce Ricketts and is known for its tasting menu. Go ahead and book a reservation now to get a taste of one of the best. It’s no coincidence that Mecha Uma literally means “absurdly delicious.”

It’s a given that Filipinos love these three dishes to bits. But what surprised us just a few days ago is that the trio was named among the World’s Best Dishes for 2019 by the Taste Atlas. They were listed alongside international delicacy greats like Sushi, Risotto, and Burrito, among others. The Crispy Pata ranked highest with a rating of 4.6 while the Lechon and Kare-Kare placed 5th and 6th respectively. That’s three reasons to celebrate with a hearty meal full of Pinoy food!

Another international survey that has been making rounds on the internet is from YouGov. The study aims to know which cuisine is the most popular with 25,000 respondents from 24 different countries. Although our own pride and joy didn’t get the coveted number one spot (well not yet, but we believe we’re getting there), we still have a reason to celebrate – the survey showed that Pinoys love their own. 97% of Filipino respondents showed a high preference for our local fares. What a way to show your Pinoy Pride.
