Gather friends and family and welcome the Year of the Metal Rat at Shangri-La at the Fort Manila‘s premier Chinese restaurant Canton Road and sign up for their Dim Sum Class!

Led by Chinese Executive Chef Wang Wei Qing and his culinary team, 10 willing participants get to learn from the expert and create different kinds of sweet dim sum with three kinds of fillings: red bean paste, lotus paste, and salted egg. This year, since it’s the Year of the Rat, the dim sum are shaped into rats, but you have the freedom to create all shapes and sizes during the class. The best part? You get to take home your creations and share them with your loved ones!

The Dim Sum Class runs for about 90 minutes to two hours, depending on the students’ pace. The class culminates with an abundant feast starting with the traditional Salmon Yee Sang (prosperity toss), followed by favorites like Canton Road’s Ming Dynasty Peking Duck and Stone-fired Suckling Pig.
