Minced Pork Balls


These saucy meatballs are not messing around. They’re here to bring flavor and they won’t let you down.

Preparation time: 5-10 minutes
Cooking time: 7-10 minutes
Serves 4 to 6

48 onion leeks, 1-inch long each
150 ml bottled kare-kare sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon peanuts, ground
1 teaspoon garlic chips

For the Minced Pork Balls
1 kilogram ground pork
3 pinches black pepper
3 pinches iodized salt
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 piece pork cubes
2 egg whites
500 grams cornstarch

For the Minced Pork Balls
Mix the minced pork ball ingredients together. Once done, form into balls around 2 inches in diameter. Cover and set aside for 5 minutes.

To Assemble
1 Place 3 balls into skewers, alternating with the onion leeks.
2 Grill the minced pork balls in charcoal for 7-10 minutes.
3 Once done, serve together with heated kare-kare sauce on the side.
4 Drizzle pork balls with olive oil and garnish kare-kare sauce with ground peanuts, garlic chips, and onion leeks.
