Get these irresistible oysters in less than 20 minutes. Perfect for hors d’oeuvres or as a promising appetizer to a great meal.

12 fresh, live oysters, shucked open
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
½ cup white onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 cup breadcrumbs
4 slices bacon, cooked
1 teaspoon fresh oregano, chopped
2 tablespoons Parmesan
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
¼ teaspoon paprika
Rock salt, as needed
1 Sauté the garlic and onions in the olive oil and butter until tender. Remove from heat and cool.
2 In a medium bowl, combine breadcrumbs, bacon, oregano, cheese, onions, garlic, parsley, and paprika.
3 Sprinkle the mixture over the oysters evenly. Place the oysters over a baking pan big enough to fit all the oysters and filled with rock salt (for stability) and bake in a hot oven at 230° C for 8 minutes.
4 Serve immediately from the oven.
