No matter who you are, taking extra steps to save the planet is essential. It’s a good thing that coffee brands like Nespresso are starting to create sustainable solutions to help save the planet. This time, they take things a step further by introducing their recycling program in the country.
This year, Nespresso partnered with other environment-friendly organizations to help recycle their used capsules. To reduce waste, artisans from the Negrense Volunteers for Change (NVC) Foundation recycle them into decorative items which they can sell. The profits gained from the artworks will help fund the livelihood program of the organization.
The good news? Customers can also play a part in saving the planet. After enjoying your cup of joe, you can simply bring your used aluminum capsules to available collection points in Metro Manila for recycling. The collection points are the Nespresso Boutique at the Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Nespresso Pop Up Stores at The Podium, Greenbelt (until June 2019), and One Bonifacio, BGC (starting July 2019), and Rustan’s Department Stores (Makati, Shangrila, Alabang). If you’re too busy to go out, home pick up is also available for orders made via www.nespresso.ph. Let’s all do our part in saving the planet!
