Focaccia bread goes well with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, but this home-made cheesy focaccia is perfect with any pasta or even as a stand-alone snack with a drizzle of honey.
Preparation time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Assembly time: 20 minutes
3 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
2 teaspoons sugar
3 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1⁄4 cup olive oil
1⁄2 cup grated mozzarella
1⁄4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1⁄2 cup cheddar cheese
1. Activate the yeast by mixing it with the warm water and sugar. set aside for 10 minutes or until bubbly.
2. Combine flour, salt, and olive oil. Add in the yeast mixture, and knead until dough becomes smooth. Add more flour if needed.
3. let the dough rise for 1 hour or until double in size. Place dough in an oiled pan and brush with olive oil. sprinkle with mozzarella, parmesan, and cheddar.
4. Bake dough in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 400°f or until done.
