By now, you’ve probably heard of the South Korean dark comedy ‘Parasite’. A visual masterpiece in storytelling by multi-awarded director Bong Joon Ho.

This history-making film has won multiple awards since it premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, including the coveted Palme d’Or.

‘Parasite’ is currently being shown at Ayala Malls Cinemas (scroll down for more details), but if you’ve already seen the movie, we’re sure you were also salivating at the scene where one of the characters was asked to make a quick meal of Steak Ram-Don (or Jjiapaguri in Korean). It’s an elevated version of Chapaghetti and Neoguri (instant ramen and udon brands from Korea) with a rich and savory sauce topped with chunks of grilled steak. And, if you’ve seen the movie, we’re sure you also dreamed of making it at home.

Well, now you can. Thanks to one of Breakfast PH’s favorite chefs: Chef Ed Bugia! For this seasoned chef and restaurateur, this scene was the most important part of the movie.

In his latest YouTube video, Chef Ed recreated the mouthwatering dish using Korean instant noodles and beef sirloin steak. The best part: It’s simple enough to do at home! Or maybe he just made it look so easy.

‘Parasite’ is now showing at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Glorietta 4, and TriNoMa from January 29 to February 4 together with three other Oscar-nominated movies: ‘Ford V Ferrari’, ‘Joker’, ‘Jojo Rabbit’, and ‘Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood’.
